Please lock your doors and turn on your alarm system even when you’re home.
LOCK YOUR DOORS – especially at night. Why take a chance on losing a good night’s sleep when taking a moment or two before heading off to bed to secure all of your doors and windows can mean the difference between a stranger getting into your house and a stranger moving on.

Within minutes police arrived on scene and discovered that a stranger had actually entered into the caller’s home through an unlocked back door and stole a Toshiba laptop from the living room. At around the same time another 911 call was received—a caller indicated that a prowler was luring in the immediate area of Blackleaf Dr. and described the suspect as a young white male wearing a dark jacket.
With the assistance of the K9 unit police attempted to run a track through the snow; however, they were unable to locate the suspect. Unfortunately the laptop was smashed into pieces.
